Great review, however I do not like the interface. Even though it will do more than an android tablet and a ipad, windows? on a tablet does not seem that appealing. MS has tried over and over and failed. With android and iOS you can access business applications via citrix receiver or remote desktop. Plus the upkeep alone makes the tablet not worth it.

Windows phone 7.5 (Mango) is more functional than windows 8. After seeing a couple of Consumer Preview videos, I felt like vomiting. The UI just looks so bleak! and? the desktop view without the start button just looks odd BUT after I trying Windows 8, I must say, It's not all that bad. I've gotten used to the new user interface after a few hours or so and it actually runs pretty well if not better than windows 7 on a regular intel atom netbook. Little to no lag so far. Oh! and I found out that it was the theme and wallpaper that got me disgusted. :P

I don't like that I have to log in with my bloody windows LIVE ID, instead of a local account. I'll be dual-booting with Win7 and BackTrack. Win7 being my main OS. I guess that works for the folks that go kayaking by themselves, but real trucks are available with longer beds for jobs just like that, and you can take some friends too. Or if you want a 2 seat, long bed truck BUY ONE! Cheaper and get better mileage. Bins on either side... AKA Ram box? No advantage to the Avalanche. Tonneau? covers are cheap and easy to instal if you want one. Weighs more than a Silvy, hauls and tows much less but has the same power? Why would you even recommend this?

The really sad thing is that they are not going to make? this truck or the Escalade EXT anymore very soon, from what I've heard. This is such a better truck than the Honda Ridgeline, which is it's only real competition. The Explorer Sport Track was competition too, but unfortunately that truck is gone too. I really like the Avalanche, and thankfully they are relatively easy to find.

The Ford F-150 should have been the best pick-up truck for 2012! It is also 2012 Motor Trend Truck of the Year, thanks to a? twin-turbo V6 that can tow up to 11,000 lbs for the trailer and impressive design, not to mention fuel efficiency! My grandparents have a 2002 Avalanche (first year it came out) and they just love it. The only reason they are considering getting rid of it is because of the fuel economy. the z66 on-road package handles very well even in the snow with traction control. Ive driven the truck and i do really like it, however i drive? an f150 so im used to a normal truck, which i really like as well.

I like the direction of Honda's new designs across the lines. Honda's cars from late 90s and early 2000s look really? "Honda" and people like them. That's what defined Honda during the period. In the mid 2000s, there are quite few ugly cars, and now we are seeing newer and really slick designs. This 2012 CRV is a good example or the transition.

I just bought a 2012 CR-V also in EX-L? trim in polished metallic finish and gray interior/leather seats. I agree that the SUV is relatively quite comparing to my 05 Accord and my wife's 07 Accord. The interior also looks very nice and the drive quality is close to my Accord. I really like the design and almost everything about this SUV.

It's an okay package, if you don't know better... the American version is a low grade version of the Japanese Domestic Market (JDM) version. The JDM CR-V get HID with Active Cornering Light, Push Start with Smart Key Fob, built-in prism at the bottom of the passenger side door mirror for easier parking, Paddle Shifters and a big safety add-on, Additional Turn Signal on the outside mirrors and a lot more. Bring the JDM? CR-V and it will probably catch up with the others...

The reason they didn't go with the 6 - speed is it transmission itself is heavier decreasing fuel economy, compared to the 5 - speed auto transmission. Also, the engine of the CR-V is from the Honda Accord, so the horsepower and torque is tweaked a bit, but relativity about the same. Lastly, if you have an SUV of this class, why need? 200 hp? Thats why there is the Acura luxury and performance division with the Acura RDX with much > 200 hp. Hopefully, I answered some of your questions.

Thanks for the review. CRV is like a friendly dog. Most people like it, as well as myself. Two major issue should've been solved, but they're not. New engine and transmission. Definitely, a 200 hp is necessary for this size as well as a 6 speed automatic. I think they could? do this to boost up the sales by at least 20-30%. Hyundai Tuscon is doing better in this category as well as Ford Escape.

The EcoBoost I-4 is good for the future 2013 Escape and Fusion. It's available with here with the Edge and the larger Explorer. It's okay with the Edge; however, I wish? the other EcoBoost engine -- the twin-turbo V6 found in the F-150 and Taurus SHO would be put as an option in the Explorer. I don't think it needs it in the Edge because the Edge Sport model has the 3.7L V-6 with over 300 hp.

Looks good, better styling than competitors from Toyota and Honda. Heck, it looks better than BMW X3 and Audi Q5. But the guy's right in saying that the power is a bit shy. For a compact SUV, even lightweight ones, you need at least 200hp for the acceleration to feel sporty. That lightweight? chassis might also become a problem in the winter, as heavier vehicles tend to have better traction in snow, and I doubt that the handling is that good because the tires are way too thin.
